Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Mercer Roofing Co San Diego for eleven years, and he’s the first person we send when a repair is complicated or a homeowner has questions they want answered straight. He holds manufacturer certifications through GAF and CertainTeed, which means he’s trained on their installation specs and warranty requirements, not just general roofing practice. Marcus lives in Clairemont and spends his weekends coaching youth soccer at Kearny Mesa. If he tells you your flashing is fine but your decking has rot, trust him. He’s pulled apart enough Mission Hills and Point Loma roofs to know the difference by feel.

Elena R. – Senior Installer

Elena runs most of our full roof installations in San Diego, and she’s particular about underlayment the way some people are particular about coffee. She’s Owens Corning certified and has led tear-offs and replacements across Normal Heights, University City, and La Mesa. Before roofing, Elena worked in construction logistics, so she’s the one who keeps material staging clean and the job site safe for families coming and going. She’s also the reason our crews actually clean up nails at the end of the day. Elena lives in Chula Vista and, in her words, “a roof either sheds water or it doesn’t. There’s no third option.”

Danny V. – Service Coordinator

Danny is the voice you’ll likely hear first when you call (619) 810-5520. He’s been coordinating roofing work in San Diego for eight years and knows the difference between a true leak emergency and something that can wait until Thursday. Danny schedules every visit, sends you your technician’s name and photo before they arrive, and makes sure the written price is in your hand before any work starts. He lives in North Park and keeps a running mental map of every condo complex and HOA in the city, which is more useful than it sounds. Danny’s rule is simple: if the phone rings, a human answers. No voicemail, no call-back form.

Chris B. – Apprentice

Chris is in his third year with Mercer Roofing Co San Diego and is working toward his GAF installer certification under Marcus and Elena. He handles a lot of the detail work on repairs: sealing pipe collars, replacing vent boots, and making sure roofing cement goes where it belongs and nowhere else. Chris grew up in El Cajon and spent two years in general construction before joining the roofing trade. He’s the youngest on the crew and the first to volunteer for the hot side of the roof in August. His current obsession is getting a perfect ridge line on every replacement, and he’ll tell you about it if you ask.
